Image	Health Research Ethics Training Initiative in Egypt The University of Maryland School of Medicine is pleased to announce the establishment of the Health Research Ethics Training Initiative in Egypt (HRETIE). This initiative is sponsored by the Fogarty International Center of the National Institutes of Health. Online Course Registration Objectives of HRETIE In response to the increased research activities occurring in Egypt, there has been an enhanced focus on building research ethics capacity and research ethics committees. The objectives of HRETIE are to: Help enhance ethics capacity and sustainability for the ethical review of health research. Help strengthen Egypt's institutional training capacity in research ethics. This training initiative is aimed at physicians, nurses, members of research ethics committees, philosophers, and others with interests in health research or ethics.
